Siswoo Design, Etc. became the name of my freelance endeavors March 26, 2004. I have been in the graphic design field since 1998 when I graduated cum laude from St. Bonaventure University in New York. I received my Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and had completed a successful internship at a local screen printing studio. That gave me the computer skills and basic understanding of the graphic design world to get my first job in Buffalo, NY at Emed, Inc. I was given many opportunities to expand and grow and eventually was promoted into the catalog department where we produced several 300+ page catalogs a year.

It was in 1999 that I decided to move to the Bay Area, and obtained a job at Rainbo Graphix as a Jr. Production Artist in Emeryville, CA. I stayed there about 6 months before realizing that I truly wanted to work in a design studio setting in the city of San Francisco. That is when I was hired at the O'Brien Company (now Pinnacle Printing Systems)as a Senior Designer. I maintained the department through several transitions and always exceeded clients' expectations with creativity and timeliness. After working there for 4 years, the company went through some hard times and after laying off several people, they kept me on as a consultant which is when I began Siswoo Design, Etc.

Currently, I am a Senior Designer in the Brand Management and Marketing departmnet at Blue Shield of California. I also continue to freelance for several of my own clients.

I invite you to look through my portfolio examples of Print, Web, Illustration and Film. I utilize top programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Painter and many more to execute all aspects of a client's needs.

Blue Shield of California

Hired as a designer to implement the re-branding efforts of this large company, I have had the experience of working on a large range of projects. These vary from corporate collateral to direct mail, trade show materials to updates to the internal website.

Hilton San Francisco

This is another hotel that I have done an extensive amount of work for. From menus and ads to bookmarks and notecards, I am kept happily busy.

Logo Design

Designing logos is one of my favorite parts of graphic design. In this medium, I get to help shape the look and ground work for a company's identity.

Calendars

Every once and a while I get called on to design a calendar. These are great fun since every month gets a new design or theme!

Brochures

I have been designing and laying out brochures since the very beginning of my career. Brochures are an important part of one's marketing collateral, and you can count on me to make the most of this opportunity to showcase the best aspects of your company.
